The stats are significant. A recent LinkedIn research shows roles requiring AI skills can offer 2X the compensation, yet women are being hired into these roles at a rate of only 26%.
We also talk about the triple penalty for women, according to LinkedIn:
The leadership penalty. Women are 15% less represented in C-suite roles than in non-executive roles.
• The AI role penalty. Women are about 10% represented in AI jobs than in non-AI jobs.
• The AI company penalty. All else equal, the share of
workers in AI firms who are women is around 5% lower than in non-AI firms.
