We Are at a Turning Point

We stand at the cusp of a profound shift for women in leadership. Every day in the HerCsuite® community, I witness incredible women starting businesses, building connections, and creating opportunities for each other. Now more than ever, we have the momentum to step into our truth and align with our deepest values.

This fourth quarter has been a transformative time for me, and I know many of you may be experiencing something similar. Whether you're navigating corporate challenges, pivoting as an entrepreneur, or building a portfolio career, the key is alignment. When we listen to where the universe is guiding us, clarity emerges.

Recently, I had the privilege of being interviewed for Politico’s Women Rise column about diversity, equity, and inclusion. During the interview, I shared my belief that we don’t need acronyms to create workplaces where people feel they belong. At HerCsuite®, we’ve hosted DEI-focused programs and have featured incredible authors like Deepa Purushothaman, Priya Nalkur, Anjana Sreedhar, and Karen Brown. Their stories remind us that empathy and kindness are free—and that leaders have an incredible opportunity to ensure their teams feel valued and respected every single day.

The article sparked deep reflection for me, especially given the current climate, where concepts like DEI are often misunderstood or vilified. Yet, the truth remains: employees want equitable experiences, safety, and belonging. As leaders, now more than ever, we need to express empathy and let employees know they matter.

The Transformative Power of Guidance

This fourth quarter, I had the amazing opportunity to work with two incredible coaches, Megan Van Buiten and Jackie Nimer, who were introduced to me through a HerCsuite® connection. Have you ever met someone—or, in this case, two people—and felt an instant connection? That’s exactly what happened during our first breakfast meeting.

Working 1:1 with Megan has helped me shift my mindset, embrace my unique gifts, and lean into my truth as a leader. Jackie, with her sharp business insights, has helped me find clarity and focus in ways I didn’t realize I needed. Together, their guidance has been transformative, showing me how to align my personal and professional goals with my greater purpose.

One of the biggest takeaways from this journey has been acknowledging my strengths instead of dismissing them. For years, I’ve downplayed my ability to connect people and create meaningful relationships. But now, I realize this gift is at the core of who I am—and it’s a strength I want to continue sharing with the world.

Three Actions You Can Take to Lean In

Reclaim Your Strengths
Take a moment to reflect on your gifts—the things that make you uniquely you. Write them down, and the next time someone acknowledges your impact, own it. Stop dismissing your contributions as “nothing.” You are capable and deserving.
"When you step into your strengths, you inspire others to rise alongside you."

Use the Green Light Exercise
Close your eyes and think about what truly lights you up—your “green lights.” Commit to doing more of what aligns with your values and purpose. At the same time, identify your “red lights”—the activities that drain you—and start saying no to them.
"Green lights signal where your heart and purpose align—follow them boldly."

Lean In to Being Visible
Sometimes we shy away from stepping out front—whether it’s recording a video, sharing an achievement, or speaking up. I experienced this myself, resisting being visible during the early days of the pandemic. But stepping into the light allows you to fully embrace who you are and share your impact with the world. Take one step today: whether it’s sharing your work, celebrating a win, or showing up on camera. "Doing something that scares us every day is what makes us who we are."

Memorable Quotes:

"Now more than ever, we need to lean in to who we are."

"When the universe pulls us in one direction, we can’t also go in the opposite direction and stay true to who we are."

"Green lights signal where your heart and purpose align—follow them boldly."

"Kindness is free, and leaders need to use every opportunity to make sure women feel valued."

Gratitude:

I want to take a moment to thank you—our incredible listeners. Your unwavering support, energy, and dedication to making a difference inspire me every day. To those of you stepping into new leadership roles, supporting other women, or simply showing up for yourself—you are the reason this community thrives. Together, we are stronger, braver, and more impactful.

I am also grateful to my friends, advisors, podcast guests and members and our team at HerCsuite®!

Keep shining your light bright. The world needs you.
